Chargepoly Connects in Granby: A Step Forward for Heavy Electric Vehicle Charging
An innovative French company in the design of charging stations for heavy electric vehicles, Chargepoly, has chosen Granby to establish its first Canadian site. This installation marks a key step in the development of fast-charging infrastructure in Quebec, with facilities that will allow heavy vehicles to recharge efficiently.
“The Quebec market stands out for its strong momentum in energy transition. We want to offer local production to be closer to our customers while minimizing the environmental impact of transporting our equipment,” explains Laurent Guyon, General Manager of Chargepoly.
Chargepoly specializes in developing stations capable of recharging a medium-sized truck in just two hours, thanks to 250 kW power modules. This fast-charging capability is a significant advantage for trucking and transport companies, which require efficient charging solutions for their electric fleets.
The company plans to invest $5 million to establish its operations in the facilities of Électrotech Automatisation Industrielle, a local company specializing in the manufacturing of electrical control panels for various industrial sectors. This partnership will allow Électrotech to handle the production and assembly of Chargepoly’s stations, bringing local expertise to the production chain.
An Investment for the Future
For 2025, Chargepoly aims to produce forty charging stations and about ten electric units.
The company aspires to reach an annual production of 100 charging stations by 2030, supported by a team of 5 to 10 employees in Canada by the end of 2025.

Founded in 2019 in Aix-en-Provence, France, Chargepoly also operates in London and Seattle, strengthening its presence in Europe and North America. This expansion into Canada demonstrates Chargepoly’s commitment to the North American market and a sustainable ecological vision for heavy mobility.
