Camions BL has obtained the Clé Verte environmental certification. A committee was established to implement the necessary actions to meet the six criteria related to waste management, indoor and outdoor environment, and employee awareness.
Clé Verte is a voluntary environmental certification program for repair shops developed across Quebec by Nature-Action Québec.
This accreditation helps structure the company’s environmental initiatives. In fact, Camions BL had already implemented several eco-friendly measures, such as recycling used batteries, aerosol containers, and certain types of waste materials.
An Environmentally Conscious Team
According to Samuel Lamoureux, General Manager: “Obtaining a certification like Clé Verte was a natural step for Camions BL, as environmental concerns are at the heart of our employees’ and leadership’s priorities.”
Following this initiative, the company provided reusable cups to its 135 employees in Granby and Victoriaville. This action will gradually eliminate single-use cups within the organization. It is also worth noting that Camions BL Victoriaville already holds a Clé Verte Gold Certification.

“It is essential for companies to take concrete action when it comes to the environment. We must think about future generations” — Martin Renaud, Camions BL employee.

Concerned about the effects of pesticides on human health, citizens of Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville came together to propose alternatives to their use in residential areas. Thirty years later, this small citizen initiative has become a province-wide social economy organization dedicated to environmental protection in various ways.
