At Camions BL, there are faces you’ve seen for years. Quiet pillars, but essential. Kevin, a parts clerk for 14 years, is one of them.
He started young – at 14. Today, he is THE reference for parts for new trucks. A look back at his impressive journey, driven by passion, resourcefulness, and love for the trade.
A career built from within
Kevin started in shipping/receiving. Then evening shifts, the counter for mechanics, customer calls, inventory… Today, he handles parts for the entire new truck preparation department.
“I grew up with the BL family. I evolved at the same time as the company.”
What does he love? Variety. Challenges. Action. Every day is different, and that suits him perfectly.
Finding the right part, at the right time
One of Kevin’s biggest challenges: sourcing parts. Especially outside regular hours, when some suppliers are closed.
“At night, you work with what you have. The truck has to get back on the road. You don’t have a choice.”
Fortunately, his experience and curiosity make all the difference. He knows catalogs inside out, knows where to look, and understands the products. A true “problem solver.”
Chrome, lights, and style
The market is changing. Customers increasingly want to customize their trucks: sunvisors, dual exhausts, LED lights… Kevin is at the heart of this transformation.
“I’m the one doing the research for parts, pricing, and options. I give the client several choices.”
A precision job that requires knowing suppliers, products, and new releases, and staying constantly up to date.
The evolution of parts… and the team
In 14 years, Kevin has seen the parts team grow – and the tools evolve.
“Before, we had shelves full of paper catalogs. Today, everything is digital.”
What changed the most, according to him? Support. New employees are better trained and better supported.
“When I started, they just told me: follow someone, they’ll show you. Today, there’s real guidance.”
A passion that never fades
Despite the years, Kevin still has the drive. He speaks about his job with pride. He loves the challenges, the constant evolution, the interaction with technicians… and even the arrival of electric trucks doesn’t scare him.
“It’s not perfect yet, but it will evolve. The future might go that way… we’ll see.”
What’s next?
He keeps learning, sharing, and serving. And above all, he keeps loving his job. At Camions BL, guys like Kevin make all the difference.
